We have theme nights at the reunions. The first night we dressed up like people of Wal-Mart, second night was Saturday Night Fever, and the third was American patriot/red, white, and blue. We don't post pictures. That way everyone has fun with no worries. I will say that I did expose my belly and thongs for the wal-mart shopper night, and I like to think that Quinn is going to be proud when she sees those pictures of her mother:)
I learned a few things at the reunion: 1. Quinn likes to do flips in my belly for hours at a time when I indulge in too many desserts (I believe she is going to have a sweet tooth like her father). 2. bending over has become a little more difficult than it used to be. 3. choosing a room on the 3rd floor of the house while being 22 weeks pregnant was not the best idea. On that note, I would like to send out a huge apology to all of my bridesmaids that were pregnant and put on the 3rd floor of our house at the wedding! My theory was that the 3rd floor would be the quietest for you to sleep. I have now seen the error of my ways. I know it is almost 3 years late, but I'm so sorry. Thank you all for being such troopers about it.
After the reunion weekend, we got to spend a few days in Meridian with John's family, and it was so nice to see them! I got to spend a whole day with Jena and sweet Mary Evans. She started crawling and learned to wave while saying, "Bye, Bye." I cannot believe how fast she is growing up! She fell asleep in my lap a few times, and I just wanted to hold her the whole time. That weekend we went to Biloxi for the Lumber Convention. My Grandfather was honored for his years of leadership. It was a surprise, and he really had no idea. I'm so glad that we were able to be there to celebrate with everyone. While we were there, my roomdog Jill came for a visit!
I cannot believe that it had been a year since we were together. I miss her, and we just picked up like no time had gone by between us. A couple of pregnancy notes from that weekend: 1. Jay's large truck is not pregnancy friendly. There definitely needs to be a stool or place to step up in there somewhere. 2. I had a lot of fun dancing the last night we were there before going to bed. I ended the night dancing to "Brick House" with Dad, and Quinn was still dancing around an hour later while I was trying to go to sleep. I think she is going to love music just like her parents!
Now that we have been back home, it is back to house projects, painting the nursery (which is checked off the list now), and doing my baby registry. I make baby registering a note all of its own because it took me an entire day (maybe more) to actually get that done. I went through a lot of emotions while getting that together. From, "WTH is that", "OMG I don't know how to do any of this, and we only have 4 months left to learn", to "I'm so excited about our showers, and I cannot wait for her to be here." I did mention that was all in about 24hrs right?
That is all the catching up I have for now. We had a good 6 month check-up for my birthday yesterday, and I have officially entered the last year of my 20s. It is crazy to think that soon I will be able to use the phrase, "well, back in my 20s..." It is going to be a wonderful year:)
